Police Log, March 21 to April 3

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

March 25 — Ninth Street — Male arrested for menacing, harassment, theft II, criminal trespass and a parole violation.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

March 25 — Hood River — Meridian, Idaho, resident was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and lodged at NORCOR.

March 26 — Prospect Avenue, 1700 block — Two juvenile males were contacted, and both cited for minor in possession of marijuana and one was cited for curfew violation.

April 1 — Hood River — Camas, Wash., resident lodged at NORCOR on the charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and failure to carry and present a drivers’ license. In the same incident, a resident of Stevenson was lodged on the charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, mail theft, six counts of identity theft, supplying contraband and a Hood River Circuit Court warrant.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

March 21 — Westcliff Drive, 4000 block — Portland resident arrested for disorderly conduct II.

March 25 — 21st Street, 1000 block — Male arrested for two counts of reckless endangering and disorderly conduct after a shots fired call.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

March 21 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

March 26 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

April 2 — Hood River — Washington female arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

April 3 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

March 28 — Portway Avenue, 900 block — Local business reported an attempted fraudulent use of a credit card to purchase goods online.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

March 21 — I-84 at milepost 63 — A pickup pulling a cargo trailer crashed.

March 28 — 12th Street, 1300 block — Hit and run reported.

March 29 — 13th and May — Two car, non-injury motor vehicle crash reported.

March 30 — 12th Street, 1600 block — Officer responded to a complaint of a vehicle backing into a pedestrian, causing injury.

March 30 — Hood River — Male arrested for reckless endangering another and reckless driving after a deputy observed him speeding at 103 mph. The female passenger was reported as a missing juvenile and was transported to DHS. The male subject was lodged at NORCOR.

March 31 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Hit and run reported.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

March 23 — Montello Avenue, 2300 block — Male arrested on multiple warrants.

March 23 — Hood River — White Salmon resident arrested on two outstanding Hood River County warrants and misdemeanor suspended while driving, and lodged at NORCOR.

March 30 — Hood River — Hood River resident lodged at NORCOR on the charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, and on a probation violation stemming from the arrest.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

March 21 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — A person mislaid their wallet, then reported their wallet as stolen.

March 24 — 12th Street, 1700 block — Male arrested for theft and a probation violation detainer, and lodged at NORCOR.

March 27 — Cascade Avenue, 2400 block — Theft of items from a hotel room reported.

March 28 — 12th Street, 1800 block — Stolen purse reported.

March 31 — Oak Street, 1600 block — Stolen bicycle reported.

March 31 — Cascade Avenue, 3600 block — Two individuals were stopped in a stolen vehicle from which the driver was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and miscellaneous drug charges, as well as multiple warrants. The passenger was arrested on the charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and miscellaneous drug charges. A second stolen motor vehicle was recovered pursuant to investigation and both subjects were lodged at NORCOR.

April 2 — I-84 at exit 63 and 64 — A stolen vehicle was pursued by the Oregon State Police. Exits 64 and 63 were shut down by city officers and spike strips were deployed on the stolen vehicle. The pursuit ended near mile post 63, where the driver lost control and was taken into custody.

April 2 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Female arrested for theft III.

April 3 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — White Salmon resident cited for theft III.

Other:

March 22 — Piltz Court, 700 block — Purse found.

March 26 — N. Second Street, 100 block — Wallet found.

March 28 — Nix Drive, 1500 block — Car keys found.

March 31 — 13th Street, 200 block — Bicycle found.

April 2 — Oak Street, 1300 block — Wallet found.
