‘Music Festival of the Gorge’ returns Sept. 17

The Music Festival of the Gorge, now in its second year, happens at the Hood River Waterfront Park Amphitheater on Saturday, Sept. 17. The free festival is a fundraiser to support school music programs in the Hood River County School District, through the Matt Klee Scholarship Fund.

Following the success of last year’s event, this year will feature a fresh line up of local bands, covering an array of musical genres, from 1-8 p.m., and then from 8-10 p.m. it’s the Portland-based “Quick and Easy Boys.” After hours acoustic music will be provided by Marge Gale at Camp 1805 Distillery and Tasting Room from 10 p.m. onwards.

Food will be available on site from Norma’s Empanada’s and Four and Twenty Blackbirds, as well as other local fare from Solstice Café, pFriem Brewing and Stoked Roasters.

Bring your friends and family, and settle in to enjoy an afternoon of free musical entertainment in the heart of the Gorge. For more information on the festival, go to the Music Festival of the Gorge Facebook page.
