Rice art, museums, shrines, a cat café, a judo demonstration, host families and Pokémon were a few of the highlights for the group of 16 who returned to Hood River Wednesday, after an 11-day trip to Japan. The group of middle school and high school students, accompanied by six adults, toured Tokyo for two days upon their arrival before heading up north to Hood River’s Sister City, Tsuruta. In Tsuruta, they spent the next week staying with host families, visiting sites in the area and were honored guests at the town’s summer festival.
