La Boheme screens Dec. 18

On Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. at Wy'east Middle School’s Performing Arts Center, the Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association presents the San Francisco Opera production of Puccini's immortal “La Boheme” in Blu-ray and on the big screen. Free for seniors and children, $10 suggested donation.

Karaoke at Thirteen-O-One

Solera expands hours

Solera Brewery in Parkdale has expanded its weekend hours and celebrates Saturday, Dec. 17 with music and a beer release party featuring Bonneville Power Duo, performing at 8 p.m. (No minors after 7 p.m.) Brewer and co-owner Jason Kahler will present “Wheat Rye-It," a hop forward red ale, out just in time for the holidays.

‘Ho Ho Open House’ Dec. 17

History Museum of Hood River County hosts “Ho Ho Open House,” with free admission, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 17 at the museum, on Marina Drive. Refreshments and kids activities will be provided, and gifts for the first 50 children. At 3 p.m., Harmony of the Gorge Chorus will perform holiday music.

Ted Horwitz at CG Hotel

Threeform plays Advent concert Dec 16

The Threeform jazz band and special guests will be playing a Christmas concert on Friday, Dec. 16 at Riverside Church in downtown Hood River from noon-1 p.m. They’ll be doing some cool covers of Christmas tunes, new and old, as well as a few originals. Plus they'll have the Riverside Gospel Choir, and friends like singer Olivia Newcomb will be joining in.

Smiley at Mt. Hood Meadows

Electro-Acoustic music featuring original soul bearing songs, improv crowd pleasers and creative cover mixes comes to Mt. Hood Meadows. Tony Smiley plays the keyboard, drum machine, guitar, tambourine, cowbell and beat box along with his vocals. Catch him Saturday, Dec. 17 from 1-5 p.m. at the Vertical Lounge at Mt. Hood Meadows.
