Nordic Weather

The HRV Nordic team, along with non-school skiers, enjoyed cold temperatures, no wind, and sunny skies Saturday morning when they took to the cross country ski trails at Mt. Hood Meadows for a 4K/7K community skate race at the resort (results not available at press time). Finn Peterson, HRV Nordic correspondent, reports: “With the wavering weather conditions throughout the week, the HRV Nordic team was without practice on skate skis. This didn't seem to faze them. Alina Watt, a HRV senior and a new team member, said, ‘The race was my training! It was exciting to see that I could do it.’ Elkin Parker, a junior and an experienced member, also said, ‘The race weather was super! I’m happy that the Mt. Hood Meadows crew made it happen. This year we have a strong team and I’m confident that we’ll do very well this year.’”
