What's new on Radio Tierra?

This month, Hood River News begins a regular listing of selected programs on the bilingual community radio station. Also starting this month, Hood River News staff will go on the air to talk about newspaper coverage, and Radio Tierra will read selected published and coming articles.

Aprendiendo con La Maestra Alexa — Learning with Teacher Alexa Radio Tierra has English/Spanish lessons sprinkled throughout the week on the playlist. You can tune in for English/Spanish lessons every Sunday and Saturday at 6:15 a.m., 8:15 a.m., 3:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Teacher Alexa is a 6-year-old student at Mid Valley Elementary and her father Juan Reyes records a new set of five words every week.

MLK Day — Gale Arnold will have a special radio show on Martin Luther King, Jr. The show is Monday, Jan. 18 starting at 10:30 a.m. and will be in Spanish and will consist of music, history and interviews from those who will present at the MLK Social Justice presentation happening Jan. 18 at Riverside Community Church.
