OneParty: One Breath Beverage Kickstart launch at Kickstand

Kickstand Coffee is the place to be for the launch party for the One Breath Kickstarter campaign on Saturday, Jan. 30, from 6-9 p.m. The One Breath Bar will pour four fresh flavors of kombucha and kefir water, and debut the new Kickstarter video created by Giselle Kennedy. Guests will also enjoy music from Al and Nolan Hare with Lyle Lofgren on ukulele.

Floria at Lyle Hotel Jan. 23

Kay Floria will play at the Lyle Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. Kay (keyboards and vocals) performs blues, jazz and ballads reminiscent of ‘40s and‘50s female blues artists. Randy Bell will accompany Kay on percussion. On Saturday, Jan. 30, it’s Richard and Tova Tillinghast bringing original Gorge-grown music for guitar and cello. Brothers Gow return to River City Saloon Jan. 29

“The San Diego quintet Brothers Gow combines rock, funk, jazz and reggae influences with thoughtful lyrics, deep grooves and an ear for improvisation that keeps each show fresh and unique. With more than 500 shows under their belts, this well-seasoned band started off in Flagstaff, Ariz., and since moving to Southern California, has developed a more dynamic sound, adding strong vocal harmonies and complex arrangements to their guitar-driven rock.” Catch them in Hood River on Friday, Jan. 29, at the River City Saloon. Community of Music Jan. 22, 24

The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association, with support of a grant from The Hood River Cultural Trust, presents “A Community of Music,” featuring the Gorge Jazz Collective Big Band along with Joel Kabokov and Europatopia, and Jamba Marimba in concert Friday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. There will also be a Sunday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. concert featuring the Jazz Collective, Jamba Marimba, and the Los Temerosos Mariachi Band. Both events are at the Wy’east Middle School Performing Arts Center. A $10 donation is encouraged.
