Police Log, July 8 to 24

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

July 11 — Sieverkropp Drive — Officer responded to a report of an assault.

July 15 — E. Hazel Avenue — Male arrested for domestic assault IV after getting into a fight with an ex-girlfriend.

July 23 — 27th Street — Hood River resident arrested after attempting to break in to his parent’s room with a knife and damaging property within the home.

July 24 — Sherman Avenue — Male arrested for domestic assault.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

July 19 — E. Marina Drive, 1000 block — Portland, Ore., resident arrested on an outstanding Oregon State Parole Board warrant and lodged at NORCOR. They were additionally charged with unlawful possession and distribution of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of schedule II narcotics.

July 22 — Hood River — Walla Walla, Wash., resident arrested on the charges of unlawful possession and distribution of methamphetamine, and lodged at NORCOR, with the additional charge of unlawful possession of controlled substance schedule II.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

July 9 — Wasco Street, 2700 block — Damage to a vehicle while located in a parking lot reported.

July 11 — E. Marina Drive, 1000 block — Transient male arrested for disturbing customers and refusing to leave a local restaurant.

July 16 — Hood River — Officer made contact with a Montana resident regarding damage done to his truck during the night.

July 19 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — Female reported her car had been vandalized July 17.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

July 8 — Hood River — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

July 10 — Hood River — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants after failing a field sobriety test during a traffic stop. He later registered a BAC of .14 percent. He was issued citations and released with a court date.

July 10 — Hood River — California male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

July 10 — Country Club Road, 100 block — Officer took a report of a motor vehicle accident, which was fully engulfed in flames. The driver was transported to the hospital and later charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants after she registered a high BAC level during a medical blood draw. She was cited and released, and discharged from the hospital.

July 14 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

July 15 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged at NORCOR.

July 15 — Hood River — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

July 16 — Meyer Parkway, 1700 block — Male with a New York license arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

July 24 — Sherman Avenue, 2800 block — Gresham, Ore., resident arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after failing field sobriety tests on a traffic stop. He was also charged with a domestic assault and lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

July 7 — Second Street, 200 block — Fraud involving $15,000 reported.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

July 8 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — Hood River resident arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended.

July 11 — Hood River — Hit and run reported to have occurred over the weekend.

July 12 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — Hit and run reported to have taken place on July 10.

July 14 — Oak Street, 200 block — Hood River resident reported damage to their parked vehicle.

July 15 — Hood River — A vehicle rolled from its parking spot, blocking traffic. The owner could not be found, so the vehicle was towed.

July 15 — May Street, 1600 block — Hit and run reported.

July 17 — Hood River — Criminal citation issued to a Hood River resident for driving while criminally suspended. The subject was cited and released for misdemeanor driving while suspended.

July 18 — June Street, 1200 block — Hit and run reported.

July 18 — 12th Street — Hit and run reported. A telephone cable was hit and damaged.

July 19 — Hood River — Vehicle towed because the driver was suspended and the vehicle was in an unsafe location.

July 20 — Hood River — Vehicle towed due to the driver not having valid driving privileges, the vehicle being unregistered and the vehicle being uninsured.

July 22 — 12th Street and Pacific Avenue — Officer responded to a non-injury motor vehicle accident.

July 23 — Hood River — Wyoming resident cited and released for reckless driving.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

July 8 — Hood River — Hood River resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of The Dalles Municipal Court and lodged at NORCOR.

July 9 — Hood River — Juvenile male arrested for a probation violation detainer, disorderly conduct and eluding a police officer on foot. He was lodged at NORCOR.

July 12 — Hood River — Hood River resident arrested on a probation violation detainer and lodged at NORCOR, and was additionally charged with resisting arrest and assault on a public safety officer.

July 15 — State Street, 300 block — Female turned herself in for warrants she had against her.

July 22 — Oak Street, 500 block — Hood River resident arrested for a probation violation detainer after an officer observed him stumbling across Oak Street.

July 24 — Hood River — Officer made contact with a subject in a traffic stop who was on probation with a no alcohol condition. He was seen in a local bar and admitted to drinking alcohol. His probation officer could not be reached.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

July 10 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Officer dispatched to a business for a shoplifter who ran.

July 11 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Theft reported. A sleeping bag was stolen.

July 14 — Hood River — Male arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft II and criminal trespass II.

July 14 — Cascade Avenue, 2000 block — Male arrested for theft from two businesses.

July 16 — Hood River — Officer contacted a Hood River resident regarding her vehicle being stolen.

July 17 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Officer dispatched to a shoplifter in custody.

July 20 — 13th Street, 1300 block — Theft of a bicycle reported, valued at $1,200.

July 20 — Second Street, 100 block — Theft of a puppy from a motor vehicle reported.

July 20 — 13th Street, 200 block — Hood River resident reported a female known to him had entered his home and remained after he told her to leave.

July 22 — Oak Street, 300 block — Theft of merchandise reported. The suspect was not apprehended and was described as an elderly woman wearing a floral print top and a big red hat.

July 23 — May Street, 1300 block — Break in to a snack shed reported.

Other:

July 8 — E. Marina Drive, 1000 block — Stolen vehicle located and recovered.

July 10 — Cascade Avenue, 3400 block — Juvenile male arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.

July 10 — Cascade Avenue, 3400 block — Juvenile male arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.

July 11 — Cascade Avenue, 100 block — Stolen vehicle recovered.
