‘Art in the Gorge’ show in Hood River July 1-3

Eighteen local artists will host a weekend gallery and sale at Venue 301 (formerly the Butler Bank Building), 301 Oak St., Hood River, July 1-3. A variety of artistic mediums will be shown, including clay and bronze sculpture, glass, carvings, oils, watercolors, pastels, prints, photography, and jewelry. The artists will be available throughout the weekend to discuss their work and their creative process. Beverages and small plates can be purchased at the event courtesy of Venue 301, Perfect Pour, and Cathedral Ridge Winery.

“Art in the Gorge is exploding,” said Sally Reichmuth, participating artist. “There is so much talent by the artists who choose to call the Gorge home, and this is a fine representation of the diversity and caliber of that talent.”

The public is invited to enjoy and purchase unique works of art directly from the artists. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Represented artists include Laurel Bushman, Brian Chambers, Carolyn Crystal, Ann Fleming, Rachel Harvey, Maureen Lauran, Peter Marbach, Abigail Merickel, Jan Muir, Katey Ellen Price, Sally Reichmuth, Will Richards, Cindy Riddle, JoDean Sarins, Serena Smith, Steve Stegall, Linda Steider and Bill Sturman.
