Sheriff Log, June 5 to 18



All calls were responded to within the County of Hood River.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

June 14 — Hood River — Juvenile male cited for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

June 5 — SE Frontage Road, 1200 block, Cascade Locks — Deputy responded to a disturbance. Male arrested for disorderly conduct II. He was transported to the hospital, where he was cited and released.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

June 12 — I-84 at exit 56 — Male arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another. An adult but underage passenger was cited with minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. The driver was lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

June 18 — Carter Road, 1900 block — Identity theft reported.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

June 5 — Highway 35 near milepost 99.5 — Deputy covered a single car, non-injury motor vehicle crash in which a car struck and killed a deer.

June 7 — Highway 281 and Woodworth — Deputy responded to a minor injury motor vehicle crash.

June 6 — Frankton Road, 500 block — Abandoned vehicle towed because it was blocking the southbound lane.

June 6 — Belmont Drive and Frankton Road — Deputy responded to a two car motor vehicle crash with injuries.

June 8 — Summit Drive, 4400 block — County units investigated a one vehicle crash in which several fruit trees were destroyed.

June 11 — NE Forest Lane, 300 block, Cascade Locks — Hit and run with property damage reported.

June 14 — Hood River — Local transient arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle and reckless operation of a boat. He was lodged at NORCOR.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

June 6 — State Street, 300 block — Wasco County resident arrested on a Wasco County warrant. She was lodged at NORCOR.

June 6 — State Street, 300 block — Female arrested on an outstanding warrant and lodged at NORCOR.

June 10 — Tucker Road, 1300 block — Juvenile arrested for a local misdemeanor warrant.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

June 5 — Wy’east Road, 3300 block — Theft of a pole saw reported.

June 6 — NW Clark Street, 0-100 block, Cascade Locks — Deputy responded to a burglary in progress. Through the investigation, it was learned that the female had permission to be there.

June 8 — NE Forest Lane, 500 block, Cascade Locks — Burglary reported.

June 8 — Eagle Creek parking lot, Cascade Locks — Car prowl reported.

June 12 — Eagle Creek Trailhead, Cascade Locks — Deputy took report of an unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

June 14 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — Deputy assisted Hood River City Police in conducting an investigation involving a stolen vehicle.

June 14 — Highway 35 near Cooper Spur Road — Theft reported.

June 14 — Odell Highway, 3000 block — Recent burglary reported.

June 15 — Highway 35, 2300 block — Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested two adults.

Other:

June 5 — Vista Ridge Trailhead, Parkdale — Search and rescue conducted for two lost hikers.

June 8 — Cascade Locks — Male found and turned over a hand gun to the Hood River Sheriff’s Office.

June 9 — SW WaNaPa Street, 400 block, Cascade Locks — Disturbance reported.

June 11 — Odell Highway, 3100 block — Juvenile male reported as a runaway. He later returned that morning.

June 16 — Highway 25, 5400 block — Mountain bike reported as found.

June 16 — Portland Drive Deputy recovered a mislaid mountain bike after a resident reported it as being in a ditch.

June 17 — Hood River — Found property reported.
