Pet of the Week: Jack is ‘full of energy and fun’

Jack has been selected by volunteers as Adopt A Dog’s adoptable pet of the week. He’s about a year old, and just discovering how great the life of a dog can be! He was surrendered after living his short life on a chain, and basically being ignored, so everything is exciting and wonderful for this big pup! Especially squeaky toys!

Jack is 80 pounds and full of energy and fun, and then when it’s time, he’s super lovey-dovey! Jack needs guidance and training, but is a quick learner, so keep those treats handy and he’ll do his best. He’d love to go an active home where he can get some good hikes, plenty of play time, and more practice with manners. He’s super playful with other dogs, but can be rough, so again, practice, practice.

And because he’s still learning manners, we think older, respectful kids in the home would be fine, but not so much the little ones who are easily toppled over! Oh! And don’t forget the back scratcher! He loves getting a good scratch on the back, or belly rub.

Jack is current on shots, microchipped and neutered. The adoption fee for Jack is $205. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expenses. Since many of our dogs are in foster, please call ahead to meet Jack in Odell at the Hukari Animal Shelter, 3910 Heron Drive, or call for more information at 541-354-1083.
