Gorge Grown Food Network hosts its annual “Buyers and Sellers Networking” event at Springhouse Cellars March 16 for from 6 to 8 p.m. This event aims to connect food growers, producers, and processors with chefs, retailers, and institutional buyers to increase outlets through which local food is available.
Buyers, do you need purple carrots for a special dish? Sellers, do you want to grow epazote or yacon and looking for a market? This is your chance to connect directly with potential buyers like local chefs, or innovative growers and makers to supply that special ingredient you are seeking.
This evening will be a chance for buyers to connect with farmers and artisan food producers directly.
Buyers are encouraged to bring lists of food items they are interested in sourcing locally. Farmers are encouraged to bring their fresh sheets or crop lists to share with buyers. Value-added food producers may bring samples to share as well.
