Hood River Valley High School senior Payton Rigert can now officially call herself an All-American after placing eighth at the USAW Girls Folkstyle National Wrestling Championships held in Oklahoma City, Okla. Rigert went 4-3 in her matches, including three wins by pin. One of her losses came to the eventual runner-up in the 148-pound weight class and another was by a close 5-4 decision. “I am super excited to have placed at a national tournament and to be called an All-American,” she said.
