Results are in for the May 17 Primary Election Ballot, which saw the victory of two countywide ballot measures, as well as a win for Mark Reynolds (D-Odell) in the Democratic nomination for the House District 52 race.
Reynolds will run in November against Rep. Mark Johnson (R-Hood River).
Measure 14-58, a Hood River County School District facility bond, passed with 71 percent of the vote against 29 percent opposed.
It will not raise the current assessed tax rate.
The Justice of the Peace post in Cascade Locks position was secured by John Harvey, with 61 percent of the vote against Brad Lorang’s 21 percent and Donna Mohr’s 17 percent.
A Mt. Hood Community College facilities bond failed with a 55 percent no vote. Hood River County turnout was 66.79 percent – 8,235 votes out of 12,330 eligible.
