Lorangs sell gallery

Debora and Brad Lorang have sold their Cascade Locks gallery to Tim and Cary Foertsch of Corbett, effective on Nov. 1.

Debora said the Foertsches want to retain the Lorangs’ works and add a few new artists as well. Tim is an artist who does recycled metal art (www.haoleware.com).

The gallery will be called Lorang Gallery for awhile, then transition to a new name, according to Debora.

“Brad and I will still be producing art from our own studios in Cascade Locks, calling ourselves Lorang Studios, and Brad will be a part of the Gorge Open Studio Tour in the spring.” Lorang Fine Art is part of the West Columbia Gorge Chamber Fall Festival of the Arts event. The gallery will have artists doing demonstrations on Oct. 2.

“This will also be our final farewell gallery party after a good run of 11-and-a-half wonderful years,” she said.
