Police Log, Aug. 9 to 28

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Aug. 13 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — Washington male cited for minor in possession of marijuana.

Aug. 14 — Hood River — White Salmon resident arrested for harassment.

Aug. 20 — Cascade Avenue — Hood River male arrested for felony domestic assault and lodged at NORCOR after causing injury to his wife while in the presence of their children.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Aug. 19 — Montello Avenue, 2200 block — Juvenile male cited and released for minor in possession of marijuana.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Aug. 10 — Cascade Avenue, 3600 block — Transient female arrested for trespass, disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer and arresting arrest.

Aug. 13 — E. Port Marina Drive, 1000 block — An intoxicated transient male was arrested for disorderly conduct II.

Aug. 13 — Oak Street, 300 block — Graffiti to a building reported.

Aug. 14 — Oak Street, 400 block — Male arrested for disorderly conduct II, harassment and criminal trespass II after he knocked over a scooter running to start a fight with three individuals walking down the street, then ran into a nearby bar to avoid police and refused to leave while the bartender held his shirt, trying to get him out of the establishment.

Aug. 28 — Cascade Avenue, 3300 block — Vehicle struck a fence.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Aug. 10 — 12th Street, 1300 block — A witness reported seeing the driver of a pickup back into bank teller equipment. The driver was located and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Aug. 11 — Hood River — A Hood River resident was arrested on the charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Aug. 13 — Second Street, 200 block — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants after failing field sobriety tests during a traffic stop. The subject later registered .23 percent BAC and was lodged at NORCOR.

Aug. 14 — Hood River — Hood River female arrested and charged for driving under the influence of intoxicants. The involved vehicle was towed from the scene.

Aug. 17 — Hood River — Oregon male arrested, cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Aug. 21 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Aug. 24 — Hood River — Male arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Aug. 28 — Hood River — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants after failing field sobriety tests during a traffic stop. He was later cited and released.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Aug. 13 — Hood River — Male cited for criminal possession of a forged instrument (identification card) at a traffic stop.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Aug. 11 — Hood River — Officer responded to a non-injury traffic crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger car.

Aug. 11 — North Second Street and Riverside Drive — Officer responded on a report of a two car motor vehicle crash.

Aug. 12 — Oak Street, 1300 block — Several non-injury crashes occurred in the intersection of 13th and Oak. The crash was caused as a result of a spill. The driver who caused the spill was located and cited for operating with a leaking or shifting load.

Aug. 14 — State Street, 500 block — Officer dispatched to a motor vehicle that crashed into a wall on Sixth Street, just north of State. No injuries were reported.

Aug. 15 — Eighth Street near Portway — Officer investigated a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.

Aug. 17 — Highway 30 and Highway 35 — Officer responded to a two car, non-injury motor vehicle crash.

Aug. 18 — 12th Street, 1600 block — Vehicle stopped for a minor traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle did not have any insurance or a driver’s license. The vehicle was towed from the scene because it was illegally parked.

Aug. 19 — Hood River — Officer responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle and a power pole.

Aug. 21 — E. Marina Drive, 1100 block — Officer responded to a report of a semi-truck striking a power pole.

Aug. 21 — Cascade Avenue, 3400 block — Two car motor vehicle crash reported. The two cars were moved to the side of the road and were not blocking.

Aug. 23 — Rand Road and Cascade — Officer dispatched to a two car traffic crash with injury.

Aug. 24 — Industrial Loop — An abandoned RV was towed.

Aug. 26 — Hope Avenue, 1600 block — Hit and run reported.

Aug. 26 — 13th and May — Officer responded to a two car motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Aug. 19 — Cascade Avenue, 3100 block — Male arrested for a warrant out of Wasco County.

Aug. 27 — May Street, 1600 block — Female arrested for a probation violation detainer.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Aug. 9 — Westcliff Drive, 3400 block — Theft of money from a residence reported. The victim and reporting party witnessed the theft on their surveillance video.

Aug. 13 — E. Marina Drive, 1000 block — Gas station reported a subject drove off without paying for gas.

Aug. 15 — Hood River — Male arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Aug. 15 — Cascade Avenue, 800 block — Burglary reported.

Aug. 15 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Arizona male arrested for a valid warrant out of Klamath County for theft, and he was additionally charged with theft III as well.

Aug. 18 — E. Port Marina Drive, 1000 block — Sailboard theft reported.

Aug. 20 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Male cited and released for theft II.

Aug. 22 — Columbia Street, 1800 block — Theft of a bicycle reported by a California resident from their rental.

Aug. 22 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — White Salmon female cited for theft III.

Sex offenses:

Aug. 12 — Hood River — Female reported being raped while in the Portland area. Information was forwarded to the Portland Police.

Aug. 25 — Hood River — Possible sex abuse incident reported.

Other:

Aug. 12 — Found Oregon license plate reported.

Aug. 13 — Eighth Street, 1900 block — Male arrested for improper use of 911. The male was issued a citation with a court date to appear.

Aug. 17 — Hood River — Officer dispatched to a dog bite.

Aug. 18 — Sieverkropp Drive, 900 block — Officer picked up a firearm for safekeeping.

Aug. 18 — Hood River — Bike accident reported.

Aug. 20 — Cascade Avenue — Purse found and turned in at the police station.

Aug. 23 — Hood River — Lost wallet reported.

Aug. 25 — Sherman Court, 400 block — Officer took possession of a bicycle found on the side of the road in a bush.

Aug. 27 — Sherman Avenue, 800 block — A wallet that had been missing for a few months was found and turned in to the police department.

Aug. 28 — 12th Street, 1700 block — Officer responded to a report of a male with severe head trauma, cause unknown, who was taken by Life Flight to a Portland-area trauma center.
