The second of Hood River Valley High School’s winter plays opens this weekend, April 7-8, with shows beginning at 7 p.m. at the Columbia Center for the Arts. The play is a series of vignettes, all touching on the theme of love. “’Almost, Maine’ is a gentle reminder that we are all human and need love,” writes Rachel Harry in her director’s notes. The play continues next weekend, 7 p.m. on April 14, and two shows April 15 — 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Above, Hope (Sara Zeman) and Dan (Matt McCravey) discuss a pivotal moment from the past.
