At library: Teen ‘Holidaze’ night, Star Wars ‘Marathon’ continues

At Hood River Library this month, teens are invited to caught up on all that is happening in a galaxy far, far away, leading up to the release Dec. 17 of the new film in the franchise, “The Last Jedi.”

Each viewing in the marathon will also include making mini-light sabers, a Star Wars bingo game, and snacks. All movies start at 5 p.m.

Here is the schedule:

Tuesday, Dec. 5: “Star Wars: A New Hope”

Wednesday, Dec. 6: “The Empire Strikes Back”

Thursday, Dec. 7: “Return of the Jedi”

Thursday, Dec. 14: “The Force Awakens”

The series started Dec. 2 with “Rogue One.”

Holidaze Craft Night

Teens can drop in for some crafts, make decorations, and watch “The Muppets Christmas Carol” on Dec. 16. Stay long enough to make something to take home or hang out and watch the movie. Craft supplies and hot cocoa will be provided.

These programs are free and open to the public and aimed at teens and tweens. For more information, contact the Hood River County Library District at 541-386-2535,, or visit their website at
