Entertainment Update for June 7

Tilly Jam Boys at White Buffalo

On Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. the Tilly Jam Boys perform at the White Buffalo. John Cyparski (guitar/vocals/ flute), George Bentz (bass) and Jose Maya (percussion) will be playing their funky, bluesy, rocking favorites. White Buffalo Wine Bar & Bistro, 4040 Westcliff Drive, Hood River.

Kit Garoutte at The Pines

Coming up at The Pines:

Kit Garoutte, Friday, June 9, 6-9 p.m. Fingerstyle guitarist and singer/songwriter Garoutte brings his friend Steve Christofferson, jazz keyboard master from Portland, to join him for a special duo performance. Christofferson has been described as “one of the Northwest’s most inventive pianists,” (Willamette Week) with “a deft, lyrical touch and fevered imagination” (Victoria TimesColonist).

John Bunzow, Friday, June 16, 6-9 p.m. Oregon native Bunzow plays a fusion of roots rock and blues and his performances can include everything from country rock to reggae. Will Hornyak performs June 10

It’s a house concert storytelling performance Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m. in Hood River with Will Hornyak.

Hornyak will feature tales from “The Mythic Land: Traditional Tales, Songs, Poems, Legends and Lore from the Heart of Ireland.” “From heroic Finn McCool and Saintly Brigid to wandering peddlers and wise crones, storyteller William Kennedy Hornyak weaves together a wide web of Irish mythology into thoughtful, engaging and well-crafted performances.” Admission $15; 401 Montello, Hood River. Spun Honey at Everybody’s

“Spun Honey is a Portland-based, genre-spanning, five piece ensemble with thought-provoking lyrics and an eclectic sound. Each encounter promises to be unique as inspiration takes the helm. Cascade Singers play June 10-11

“June is Bustin’ Out All Over” on June 10 and 11 when Cascade Singers and Cascade Youth Choir present “The All-American Choral Song Fest.” The concert includes folk tunes, show tunes, spirituals and jazz standards in a sampler of songs made in the U.S.A. The venue is St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1805 Minnesota St., The Dalles. Saturday’s concert begins at 7 p.m. and the Sunday concert starts at 3 p.m. Admission is by donation at the door.
