Voters will see races in all of the three Port of Hood River Commission positions up for election May 16.
The deadline to file is March 16 in the county-wide Special Districts mail-in vote. Ballots will go out around May 1.
For Position 1 on the Hood River port, Anna Williams has filed along with Brian Carlstrom; both live in Hood River.
Hood River residents Svea K. Truax and Jeffrey Helfrich (a former Cascade Locks City Council Member) filed for Position 2.
In Position 3, Laurie L. Balmuth and Robert Bart, both of Hood River, are on the list.
The Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District has drawn five candidates for four positions: current board chair Greg Davis, and Nick Kraemer of Hood River, Steve King of Hood River, Matt Rutledge of Hood River, and Anna Cavaleri of Hood River.

County assistant clerk Kim Kean noted that county-wide, all positions have at least one candidate signed up, except for two positions on the Transportation District Board, and the Parkdale fire and sanitation districts
In Hood River County School Board races, all five incumbents have filed for re-election: At-large appointee Rich Truax (appointed in January to succeed Jan Veldhuisen Virk); David P. Russo of Hood River, Position 2; Corinda Hankins-Elliott of Hood River, Position 3; Julia Garcia Ramirez of Hood River, Position 4; Mark Johnson of Odell, Position 5. (The district is in the unusual position of having five of seven seats up for vote in May.) In Cascade Locks, Port commission incumbents Dean A. Bump, Joeinne Caldwell and Jessie Groves have all filed.
