Mercado del Valle is one of three farmers’ markets in the Columbia Gorge region managed by Gorge Grown Food Network, and it returns to its downtown Odell location June 1. Like last year, the market will be held on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 4-7 p.m., ending Aug. 19.
The market will be on Atkinson Drive, next to Wy’east Community Church. Find local produce and vendors, as well as music, kids’ activities and performances. The first 20 kids at the market will receive a free $2 market token to buy their own fruits and vegetables.
The market accepts debit and credit cards, WIC and Senior FDNP vouchers, Veggie Rx, and SNAP; an extra $5 will be given to SNAP customers to increase their shopping power. Find information at the info booth, located in the orange tent, on any of these programs.

The Hood River Farmers’ Market runs each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fifth and Columbia parking lot, across from Full Sail, through Nov. 18.
