Hundreds braved chilly Mother’s Day weather on Sunday to attend the first-ever Hood River Latino Festival at the fairgrounds in Odell. The free event was coordinated by the Hood River Latino Network to showcase Latino musical talent, as well as provide informational booths from around the Gorge. Jim Crary, who ran for Congressional District 2 in November and is planning to run again in the next congressional race, also addressed the crowd — to lots of applause. At left, Hood River Latino Network President Martha Verduzco encourages attendees to use their voices and vote.
