Westside meetings Wednesday at Fire Hall

The last meetings, for now, of the two Westside Area Plan committees are scheduled for Oct. 11 at Hood River Fire Hall.

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will meet from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) from 6 to 9 p.m. They will review the updated plan concept report, from consultant The Angelo Group.

Both meetings are open to the public, and there will be opportunity for public comment during the PAC meeting.

Senior planner Kevin Liburdy said the key question is “Is there consensus to move the package forward for further work by the Planning Commission?”

“We’ve got a lot of work ahead,” said, noting that the PAC will be asked if updates made to the plan since meetings in July “have adequately summarized the issues they brought up.”

No further dates have been set, but Liburdy said more work sessions will be scheduled before moving to public hearings before the Planning Commission.
