Pet of the Week: Remi is looking for an active family

Precious Remi has been selected by volunteers as Adopt A Dog’s adoptable pet of the week, and she is searching for a loving family to call her own.

This sweet 2-year-old Bluetick Coonhound is about 40 pounds and all love! She loves being around people of all ages. In fact, she never wants to leave your side!

Remi would make a wonderful addition to a very active family who won't leave her alone for long periods of time. She wants to be where the action is! On top of being lovey dovey, Remi is great on leash, knows her doggy manners, and does very well with other dogs. She has been around cats peacefully, but may chase them if they run. Remi is a hound, so she can be vocal.

Remi is current on shots, microchipped and spayed. The adoption fee for Remi is $205.

Adopt A Dog is run by a small group of volunteers, and, since many of the dogs are in foster care, they ask that applications be turned in from the website ( ahead of time; they’ll be in touch to schedule a meet and greet and answer questions. Adoption hours at Hukari Animal Shelter in Odell, 3910 Heron Drive, are Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, 9-11 a.m. Applications can be downloaded and scanned or emailed to, or faxed to 1-877-833-7166. They offer 24PetWatch microchips, which include free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. For more information visit, or call 1-866-597-2424.
