Children’s Librarian Jana Hannigan, with student director India Hargrave (Sabine Bock also co-directed) had seen Mid-Summer Night's Dream last year and asked the troupe to bring it to the library for Shakespeare Week.

Parents, children, and those interested in learning about the program elements available for kids and about volunteer opportunities with the Columbia Center for the Arts’ Children’s Theater are invited to attend an evening of information and free pizza at 6 p.m. on May 3 at the center, 213 Cascade Ave.
Volunteers can find out how to participate in children’s heater and upcoming opportunities to help.
Parents and kids will learn about the upcoming season of plays for kids, workshops, the 2018-19 Teen Apprenticeship program, and the In-School program for K-12 schools throughout the Gorge, directing options, and scholarship opportunities.
All are welcome. No experience necessary.
The center supports a community that values, supports, and participates in the arts, and strives to serve all populations throughout the five county Mid-Columbia region, from Cascade Locks to Moro, and from White Salmon to Parkdale, said a press release.
