Salem man hospitalized after shooting

A man was transported by Life Flight to a Portland area hospital after being shot early Friday morning. The Hood River Police responded to the area of 930 Sieverkropp Drive at 12:04 a.m., where neighbors reported hearing several gunshots. When police arrived, they found Demarea Brisco, 32, of Salem, on the ground with at least one gunshot wound.

The Hood River Police Department is being assisted in this investigation by the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and Wasco County Sheriff’s Office. No arrests have been made at this time and this incident is still under investigation.
