Elks Lodge pours third Oktoberfest Sept. 15

Hood River Elks hosts its third annual Oktoberfest on Sept. 18, with an emphasis on German-style beer.

Participating breweries will rotate among the 13 taps at the event, sponsored by Western Beverage.

The event is open to the community and its free admission for all ages; minors must be accompanied by a parent. The event runs 5-10 p.m. in the Elks Lodge parking lot, 304 Cascade Ave., Hood River.

Elks will have food for sale, Hood Crest Winery will serve wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available.

Activities include a photo booth with Positives Negatives’ Gordon Leigh, raffles and giveaways, and a costume contest with a Teutonic vibe.

Ales will be on hand from Elysian, 10 Barrel, Spaten, Everybody’s, Full Sail, Solera, Double Mountain, pFriem, Logsdon Farmhouse Ales, Big horse Brew Pub, Thunder Island, Walking Man, Backwoods, Ferment, Freebridge and Sedition.

Music will be by Megan Alder, followed by Tess Barr Blues Band, and performing last will be Scott Pemberton Band.
