From Oregon State Police: Oregon State Police (OSP) and Hood River County Sheriff's Office (HRSO), working in cooperation with Kentucky State Police (KSP), are continuing to ask for the public's help to locate a father and son whose vehicle was found last week along Highway 35 in the Mt. Hood area. With this weekend's expected warm weather and the potential for many visitors and hikers in the Mt. Hood area, some new details are being released after confirming the men were in the area last week.
A wildfire broke out Thursday afternoon at about 3 p.m. on a cliff near White Salmon, just west of the White Salmon River bridge, coming close to a home on the bluff.

MCMINNVILLE — Hood River native Michelle Kawachi, a Linfield College student, has been missing since April 17.
The Oregon Department of Transportation has reopened all lanes of Interstate 84 after a landslide on Wednesday blocked a section of the freeway.
From Oregon Department of Transportation: Eastbound Interstate 84 will remain closed at exit 17 in Troutdale through the weekend while crews clean up a slide at milepost 61, about three miles west of Hood River. About 2,000 cubic yards of rock and debris fell from the hillside on the south side of the highway just before 7:30 p.m.
A large landslide has closed both east bound lanes of I-84 and 1 westbound lane at milepost 61. ODOT crews are responding to the scene.
