The Hood River Valley High School FFA chapter celebrates National FFA week, Feb. 18-26, with two events. First, the annual Pass the Pig fundraiser on Tuesday, stopping here at Hood River Hotel where Stu Watson holds Gloria after a handoff of the piglet by FFA members Brandy Riggleman, center, and Shelby Carter. FFA student teams canvassed the county for “Pass the Pig,” in which businesses pay a $20 donation to send the pig to another location. Meanwhile, the students are preparing for Saturday's annual FFA Week "country breakfast" for the community, 7-11 a.m. at HRVHS. The breakfast is free and open to the public. In addition to the breakfast, FFA members will be conducting tours of the agricultural facilities at HRVHS. Members will highlight projects and upcoming events.
