Hiroko Raymer, 83, of Portland, Ore., passed away Sept. 3, 2011. Inurnment was held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Willamette National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Japanese International Baptist Church in Tigard, Ore.

Hiroko was born in Tokyo, Japan, on Oct. 26, 1927, to Jutaro Ishikawa and Sen (Inaba) Ishikawa. In later years she married Arthur Raymer and became a U.S. citizen.

Together they served in their church, the Japanese International Baptist Church of Tigard, Ore. It is said she had a great sense of humor and they were a loving couple.

Hiroko is survived by her husband, Arthur Raymer.
