Floyd D Logan, of Springfield, Ore., died Dec. 30, 2011. He was born April 7, 1923, in Logan, Mo., to Merwin and Beatrice (Harris) Logan.
Floyd graduated from Hood River High School in 1941 and attended the University of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
During his work career he owned a farm in Hood River and a business in Springfield, where he spent the last 50-plus years of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughters Janice Gossler, of Battle Ground, Wash., and Deborah Kaczenski, of Sisters, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Pratt.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Major Family Funeral Home (address below).
