Lewis Eldon Baker Jr., 51, passed away unexpectedly at his Cascade Locks, Ore., residence on March 26, 2009.
Lewis moved out to Cascade Locks to be near his father in 1965. He had been living in Marlboro, Conn., with his mother.
Lewis was born Dec. 16, 1957, at Middletown, Conn., to Lewis Eldon Baker Sr. and Phyllis Rosa Ungewitter. He grew up in the Portland, Ore., area and enjoyed the outdoors. He worked in construction and logging.
Lewis enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, motorcycles and the outdoors in general. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his granddaughter, Ciera-Lyn Marie Gast, and daughter and son-in-law, Mandi and Joseph Gast, of Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla.; father, Lewis Eldon Baker Sr., and Valerie Rush, of Cascade Locks; brothers Kenneth Baker and his wife, Kristal, and Gene Baker and his wife, Teresa, all of Gig Harbor, Wash.; sister, Joyce Wyatt, and her husband, Elmer, of Yamhill, Ore., and a half-sister, Murdiss Porvencher, of East Hartford, Conn.; and half-brother, Steven Ely, of Manchester, Conn.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
