Kenneth “Kenny” Lentz passed away at his father’s house in Odell, Ore., on Sunday morning, April 26, 2009. He was born July 16, 1968, in McMinnville, Ore.
Kenny went all 12 years of his schooling in Amity, Ore., with sports in mind: He played football, basketball and baseball, being an excellent catcher. His favorite pastimes included fishing, listening to his CDs and spending time with his nieces, Nichole and Elizabeth.
Kenny collected boats and anything to do with fishing. He has an extensive collection of reels and hooks.
While living in Odell, Ore., for the last four years he has worked for Diamond Industries. He will be missed by all of his friends and co-workers.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Carmen Goff, of Amity, Ore.; father and stepmother, Ron and Aggie Lentz, of Odell; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Chelsea Stansfield, of McCloud, Ore.; grandson, Donovan, of Newport, Ore.; sister, Christina Lentz, and her children, Nichole and Elizabeth, of Amity, Ore.; stepfather, Kim Goff, of McMinnville, Ore.; stepsister and husband Crystel and B.J. Pettit, and their children, Kayla and Caleb, of McMinnville, Ore.; grandparents, Viola Sisk, of Sheridan, and Lee and Betty Goff, of McMinnville, Ore.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon Sisk and Kenneth and Mercedes Lentz; his uncle, Andy Sisk; and his dear cousin, Jeff Blair Whitehorn.
A memorial fund has been established for Kenny and donations can be made to any First Federal Bank or sent to Anderson’s Tribute Center.
