Guadalupe P. Enriquez, 59, a former Hood River, Ore., resident, died Nov. 25, 2009, at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland, Ore.
Rosary was held Monday, Nov. 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Lupe was born Dec. 16, 1949, to Febronio and Maria de Jesus (Perez) Enriquez in Tlacuitapan, Mexico. He came to the Hood River Valley in 1970.
In 1998, he and Olga Munoz were married. For more than 20 years he worked seasonally at Duckwall-Pooley Fruit. He moved to The Dalles, Ore., four years ago.
Lupe was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hood River and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in The Dalles. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends and playing poker.
He is survived by his wife, Olga, and their two daughters, Bianca and Maribel, of The Dalles; sons Jame, Jorge and Guadalupe, all of Madras, Ore.; brother Felipe Enriquez, of Mexico; nephews Jesus, Ramon, Freddy and Oscar, all of Hood River; nieces Raquel, of California, and Olga and Guadalupe, both of Hood River; and one granddaughter, Dzjiana Enriquez.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jose Enriquez in 2002.
Vault interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
