Shirley House, 78, of Inwood, W.V., went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Care Haven Center, Martinsburg, W.V.
Born Sept. 21, 1931, in Lake Odessa, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Dwight Everett and Golda Reed Everett.
She is survived by five sons: Gary House, of Inwood, Randy House, of Ashburn, Va., Tony House, of Vancouver, Wash., Paul House, of The Dalles, Ore., and Jerry House, of Santa Maria, Calif.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Everett, of Santa Maria, Calif.; and one sister, Martha Carnahan, of Hillsboro, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her stepfathers, Albert Price and Lloyd Butterfield.
Memorial service was held Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Galilean Baptist Church, Shepherdstown, W.V., with Rev. Bill Long officiating.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Rowena Baptist Church in Rowena, Ore., with Pastor George Clark officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, Hood River, Ore.
