Leo Jayson “Jay” Livingston, 78, died Feb. 8, 2009, at his Parkdale, Ore., residence.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. at Anderson’s Tribute Center.
Jay was born Oct. 2, 1930, in Lindsay, Calif., to William and Indiana “Indie” (Gray) Livingston. He was the last survivor of three sisters and three brothers.
Jay was raised and educated in Lindsay. He lived in the San Francisco Bay area for six years and then returned to Lindsay. On Oct. 28, 1972, he and Georgie Delay were married in Lindsay.
Jay worked as an industrial mechanic for General Cable Corporation in Lindsay, Lindsay Olive Growers and Lindsay Irrigation District. He came to Parkdale, Ore., in 1986. He worked at Terry Shell Station in Hood River, Ore., Luhr Jensen and for Diamond Fruit Growers in Parkdale, Hood River and Odell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers, daughters Donna Joan Livingston and Brenda Joyce Rains and son, Howard Neal Livingston.
Jay is survived by his wife, Georgie, of Parkdale; daughter, Nora Marie Richardson, of Rosamond, Calif.; stepdaughter, Laurie Lynn Kunert, of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren John Steven Rains, Gregory Randal Rains, Michelle Lynn Casterline, Mindy Shawn Kunert, Amanda Marie Chambers, Nicholas Andrew Richardson, Wayne Tyler, Krystal Lynn Richardson and Michael Richardson; great-grandchildren Emily Kayleen Casterline, Rhys Wynn Casterline, Chloe Anne Marie Casterline, Natalie Marie Kunert Bluefield and Matthew Bluefield Jr.
Private interment will be at Upper Valley Cemetery in Parkdale, Ore.
