Timothy Wayne Fletcher, 61, of St. Helens, Ore., died Dec. 7, 2011, in St. Helens. He was born April 4, 1950, in Hood River, Ore., to Loren and Marianne (Leveque) Fletcher.
Timothy grew up in Odell on the family farm of which he later became the owner/operator, until he was in his 50s. He attended college at Yakima, Wash., and served in the Oregon Army National Guard. He was also a member of the Odell Fire Department for more than 30 years.
He moved to the Portland area, where he drove fuel trucks. He was an avid hunter and fly fisher "extraordinaire," a trait he passed down not only to his children, but his grandchildren, too.
He married his sweetheart, Kathy, in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy, of St. Helens; his son, Branden Fletcher, of Hood River; daughter, Nicole Herron, of Portland; brother, Buz Fletcher, of Snowden, Wash.; sister, Susan Johnson, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and grandchildren Gus, Tucker, Dylan, Timmy, Brandi and Tanner Fletcher and Caroleagh Gianino.
A celebration of life will be held Dec. 17 from 3-7 p.m. at the Hood River Elks Lodge, at Third and Cascade streets, Hood River.
