Margaret De la Ossa Saucedo, 97, passed away Nov. 9, 2011, in Hood River, Ore. Margaret was born Nov. 4, 1914, in Nogales, Ariz., to Ernesto and Maria Antonia (Araiza) De la Ossa.
In 1937 she married Edward Orellana Saucedo at Los Angeles, Calif. To their union were blessed two children: Victor and Gloria. They lived as a family in the Los Angeles area; Edward passed away in November 1950.
Margaret was a loving, caring mother who was devoted to her faith. When she was younger and more able, she enjoyed working in her garden and making her home an inviting place to visit. She also enjoyed the company of her pets, being that she was an animal lover.
Margaret is survived by her children: Victor Saucedo, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Gloria Collie, of Hood River, Ore.; five grandchildren: Susan King, Victor Saucedo Jr., Linda Buttner, Joel Saucedo and Roy Watson; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Richardson.
Graveside services are planned for Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Hollywood Hills, where she will be laid to rest beside her mother, Antonia.
