Pearly Jean Frazier, 80, passed away Sept. 14, 2011, at a Portland medical center. Pearly was born March 7, 1931, in Wyandotte, Okla., to Samuel and Abby Indiana (Crowder) Steeley.
A graveside service is planned for 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at Idlewilde Cemetery.
Pearly Jean grew up in Oklahoma and married Don Frazier when she was 16. They moved to Hood River in 1948, where they raised their family of five children.
She drove school bus in Hood River County for 25 years and worked part-time for Diamond Fruit. Her love for her family and friends showed in her life.
Her family will miss her, but remember her love and kindness with good memories and lots of laughter that she brought to them all.
She is survived by her children, Donna (and Terry) Johnson, Judy (and Pat) Bradley, Steve Frazier and Chad (and Dave) Frazier; 14 grandchildren: Rendi Porter, Dena Johnson, Angela Balzer, Janohn Benefield, Toria Johnston, Paris Beardsly, Monica Bradley, Justin Frazier, Ryan Frazier, Jessica Bryan, Josh Fatley, Aaron Cantrell, Rebekah Wentz and Rheid Wentz; 24 great-grandchildren and many, many friends that she has collected over the years.
"We live, we laugh, we love," her family says in memory of Pearly Jean.
In addition to her parents and siblings she was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and son Cleve.
