Richard Anderson, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on March 31, 2012, in Hood River, Ore. He was born on Feb. 26, 1934, in Portland, Ore.

Richard was well liked by everyone who met him. He worked at Opportunity Connections in Hood River for many years. He was passionate about recycling and enjoyed his community. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Saturday, April 7, at 3 p.m. at Anderson's Tribute Center in Hood River with a reception to follow.

Donations in his honor can be made to Providence Hospice of the Gorge.
