Marjorie (Olson) Taylor went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Aug. 17, 2012, at Hood River Care Center in Hood River, Ore. Marjorie was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Powers Lake, N.D., to Erling and Lydia (Breding) Olson. The family moved to Hood River in 1937.
Marjorie married Bill (Curly) Taylor Oct. 20, 1942, while Bill was serving in the army. After the war Bill worked construction around many states and they were always moving to the next job. She also worked locally for J.C. Penney, Hickey’s Market and Franz Hardware, while Bill worked on local dam projects.
Later Bill and Marjorie owned and operated Taylor Mobile Homes in The Dalles, where they settled for many years.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, two children, Peggy Charlene and Bill Gordon, sisters Leona and Marie and one brother, Lyle (Bud).
She is survived by one sister, Betty Smith, of Hood River, and numerous nieces and nephews.
No memorial service will be held, at her request.
