JoAnn Marie Klapprich, 77, of Cascade Locks, Ore., passed away Jan. 26, 2012 in Hood River, Ore. She was born July 27, 1934, in Lubbock, Texas, to George and Florence Byers. She was the oldest of four children. She married Ted Klapprich Feb. 26, 1954.
She graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 1968 as a licensed practical nurse and worked in hospitals in California, Oregon and Saudi Arabia. She later worked in Oregon nursing care facilities until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Bobby Walker, of Cascade Locks, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Todd Mohr, of Cascade Locks, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Karen Klapprich, of Cascade Locks, Ore.; and sister, Phyllis Osborne, of Jacksonville, Ill. She has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Klapprich, and her brothers, David and Doug Byers.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. at Cascade Locks Bible Fellowship in Cascade Locks.
