Inez "Inie" Anita Reynolds, 86, a resident of Hood River, Ore., and a past longtime resident of The Dalles, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011. She was born in North Bend, Neb., on Aug. 1, 1925, to Emil H. and Emma (Hillen) Eggers. She grew up in Omaha, Neb., where she graduated high school.
Inez married Marvin Dale Reynolds in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Nov. 5, 1943. She worked for the State of Oregon as a benefits certifier. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Hood River Valley Adult Center and enjoyed walking, gardening, decorating halls at Down Manor and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Mike Reynolds and his wife, Sylvia, of Soldotna, Alaska, Mark Reynolds and his wife, Denise, of Hermiston, Ore., and Wanda Bennett and her husband, David, of Vancouver, Wash.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Vi Neu of Elkhorn, Neb., John Eggers, of Corvallis, Ore., Veulah Lort, of Portland, Ore., and Lee Eggers, of Sumner, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Reynolds; her parents; a brother, Harold Eggers, and a sister, Evelyn Anderson.
Private cremation held at Win-Quatt Crematory in The Dalles with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
