Arthur T. Raymer, 86, passed away June 18, 2012, in Portland, Ore. He was born March 7, 1926, in Vernonia, Ore., to Benjamin T. and Ruth W. (Peterson) Raymer.
He served in World War II where he met his beloved wife, Hiroko. They moved to the United States where Arthur worked as a mail carrier. They belonged to the Japanese International Baptist Church.
Arthur will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who was very loving to his wife, who preceded him in death in 2011.
A committal service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, at Willamette National Cemetery, where he will be reunited with his wife. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, at the Japanese International Baptist Church in Tigard.
