Doris Maybelle Brumbaugh passed away at her home in White Salmon, Wash., on July 5, 2012, at the age of 87. She was born in Portland, Ore., on March 12, 1925, to Maybelle Jane (Arnold) and Archie Delbert Huskey.
Doris was raised in Mosier, Ore. During World War II she worked in the shipyards of Portland. In 1947 she married Philip Vernon Brumbaugh and the couple moved to White Salmon that same year.
Doris was a hard worker. She loved to read and spend time with her family.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Verna and Buckley Smith, of White Salmon, Phyllis and Ed Panky, of White Salmon, and Sandra and Dale Vermeire, of Vancouver; sisters Lucille Bennett, of White Salmon, and Lois and Vern Root, of Mosier; brothers Delbert (and Elaine) Huskey, Jack (and Betty) Huskey, Wayne Huskey and Kenneth (and Wendy) Huskey, all of Mosier; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
