John D. Billodeau, 88, of Hood River, Ore., passed away July 10, 2012, at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital with family by his side. John was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Preston, Conn., to Peter and Annie (MacLeod) Billodeau.
He was raised in Preston and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1938. He moved to Hood River in 1965.
John attained the rank of chief warrant officer in the U.S. Navy and served our country from August of 1946 until his retirement in November of 1968.
He enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and his involvement in the Hood River Valley Adult Center. He was a member of the Hood River Masonic Lodge and the Hood River Eagles Club.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hood River Valley Adult Center and sent care of Anderson’s Tribute Center.
