David M. Leibbrandt, 72, died April 13, 2012, in Cebu, Philippines, where he had resided for the last 10 years with his wife, Marcia.
He was born July 23, 1939, in Cheyenne County, Kansas, to Ruben and Mable Leibbrandt.
He served in the Navy, worked for Harvey Aluminum and Hanel's Mill in Hood River. He was a skilled carpenter, builder and horseman. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.
He was survived by his siblings Ken (Alice) Leibbrandt, Donna (Marvin) Zimbelman, Rueben (Jan) Leibbrandt and Judy (Virgil) White; his children, Nikki Malch and Brett, Kristy and Heidi Leibbrandt; and his grandchildren, Eric Leibbrandt, Adam Koch and Natalie Moleli. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Leibbrandt, and mother, Mable Borden.
He was buried in the Philippines.
