Mary Louise Hoffman, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Hood River, Ore., surrounded by family on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.
She was born on July 29, 1937, to Elmer and Alberta Butterfield. She married Ronald Hoffman on June 3, 1955, after graduating from Hood River High School. Together, they had two sons, Brad and Brian.
Louise loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She worked as a bookkeeper for Paris Fair and Mid Valley Market, was involved in the Hood River Lioness Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the Wy’east Whirlers.
Louise was preceded in death by brother Steve Butterfield.
She is survived by four grandsons, James, David, Ricky and Erick Hoffman; granddaughter Mikala Hoffman; great-granddaughter Kadence Holmes; daughter-in-law Mary Hoffman; and a whole community of friends who will miss her greatly.
Memorial services will be held at the Hood River Alliance Church, 2650 Montello, Hood River, on Nov. 3 beginning at 1 p.m.
