Leroy Anthony Chambers, 76, a resident of The Dalles, Ore., and former White Salmon, Wash., resident, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at a local hospital.
Leroy was born Nov. 26, 1937, in Boise, Idaho, to Fred and Virginia (Helm) Chambers. He worked as an electrician at lumber mills throughout the Columbia Gorge. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
Leroy’s special interests include reading, electricity, space and motion and feeding the hungry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Leroy is survived by a sister, Charliene Chambers Swing; two nephews, Ron and Robert Swing; and a niece, Taunjia Swing.
He was an awesome son first, big brother second and our rockin uncle Tony forever.
He had a huge heart full of infinite compassion for life and was always interesting at the least.
His life will be celebrated at a later date.
