Wendell Ivan Scott, 80, of Sisters, Ore., passed away Dec. 17, 2013, at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 16791 Pine Tree Lane in Sisters.
Wendell was born Oct. 11, 1933, in Salina, Kansas, to Charles and Doris (Sechrist) Scott. He grew up in Eugene and Sisters, graduating from Redmond Union High School in 1951. He became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1972. On Oct. 2, 1992, he married Carol Nicholas in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

Wendell loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed studying the Bible and taking road trips. But, most of all, he loved and enjoyed spending time with his wife, Carol, and teaching the Bible to others.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother, Don, and a son, Bruce.
